The ones you always wanted to see get more love in the show. Digimon ReArise was a turn-based RPG that focuses on building a party of up to five Digimon summoned using a gacha system. This is a thread to pay respects to those Digimon. This small patch fixes the typo and distorted sprite overlay to restore the room’s appearance. Outside of videogames, nearly all toylines will reuse parts with some colors changed, as much of the cost of a new toy comes from making the steel injection mold used to create parts. However, it is a very unintentional issue - the background palette of Datamon’s Server Room is overwritten by the player’s palette, resulting in a garish green tinted area with clashing colors. There are countless Digimon who are obscure and only exist in the TCG and video-games, getting perhaps a minor cameo in the show as a throwaway villain or background character. Palette Swaps are also used in Sprite Comics, where theyre known as recolors. Now, don't get me wrong, Pokemon certainly favors some Pokemon over others-Pikachu and Charizard are undoubtedly in the spotlight far more than Drowzee and Lumineon-but every Pokemon more or less is treated as an individual with solid statistics that stay more or less the same over the years, and no Pokemon is ever dropped.ĭigimon, though, doesn't have that. I've said this before, but I think one of the biggest issues with Digimon never reaching the long-lived popularity of Pokemon was that it didn't treat its creatures with an equal amount of respect like Pokemon does. There's a lot of cool Digimon designs, but most people, especially in the west where the anime was pretty much the biggest part of the franchise, tend to focus on the main Partner Digimon. I've had sort of a renewed interest in Digimon thanks to the upcoming anime season, so I've been browsing the various Digimon websites reminiscing over the designs.
